RELEASE DATE: 5/8/2026
Caterina Barbieri and Bendik Giske's At Source resounds music as wellspring, that which is essential and unknowable, and yet utterly primary. It finds two acclaimed composer-musicians building a world together in self-contained collaboration between analogue synthesis and an extended approach to the saxophone that conjures its own universe of sound. It is at once intimate and cosmic, drawing on the challenges and possibilities of their artistic exchange, tearing down technique to access all the expansive possibilities of their sonic meeting point. At Source is a document of the world of sound to be conjured when two artists strive for something together, discovering the expansions and limitations of performance by bodies and machines. It is not an exercise in assimilation, but in productive exchange and creative confrontation. It does not draw on outside energies or influences, but grapples with what there is to find in their respective playing. Barbieri and Giske first met and were enthralled by one another's performances at Kunsthaus Glarus in 2019, a meeting that spurred conversations on the power of transitions as a compositional force. Giske later contributed a rework of Fantas for Fantas Variations (Editions Mego, 2021), an ambitious undertaking to rescore Barbieri's work for his saxophone and voice, a challenge Giske had started undertaking two years prior as an ongoing practice of transcription. Giske, who was on the brink of releasing his sophomore album, Cracks, then joined Barbieri's light-years tour, which functioned as an inaugural incarnation of her newborn label and platform. Through the tour, they continued to develop material live, and this release, laid down in the studio, is true to that ever-evolving process of creation, where live feedback stays essential to the vitality of this collaborative effort. The tracks are each named with two evocative words that contain the two poles of their sound. Theirs is both abstract and cosmic, in the synth as machine undermined by Barbieri's naturalistic playing, and in Giske's continuous exploration of the symbiosis between his instrument, voice, and body. These binaries, of body and machine, posed various challenges, notably in how the stepped patterns Barbieri uses were near-impossible to translate for Giske's body to perform, and other times where mathematical resolutions were needed to sync their playing.

2026 repress. With Dub Techno firmly back on the menu in clubs the world over, Deadbeat, at long last, resissues what is perhaps his greatest collaborative work with Paul St Hilaire aka Tikiman. A true genre masterclass, as the name suggests, the album infinitely showcases two titans of the form at their very best, and 10 years on, remains a stone-cold classic. Re-cut by their old friend Stefan Betke aka Pole at Scape Mastering who first cut it to wax so many years ago, this 10-year anniversary edition is a crucial showcase of two masters at work.

LP version. WRWTFWW Records presents Interwoven, the deeply moving collaborative album from Ken-ichiro Isoda and aus (Yasuhiko Fukuzono) -- now available on limited edition transparent sea green colored vinyl LP housed in a heavyweight sleeve with selective-varnish 3D print, as well as in digipack CD and digital formats. Recorded between Hachijo Island and Tokyo, Interwoven distills two visionary voices of Japanese ambient and electronic music into a single breath of feather-light and quietly luminous meditative sound. Isoda is a revered figure of New-age and environmental music whose work on Oscilation Circuit -- Série Réflexion 1 (originally released on famed label Sound Process) has long attained mythic status. He composes, notably with harp and wind instruments, produces contemporary music and video game scores, and crafts his very own brand of ambient music from the volcanic island of Hachijo-jima. Tokyo-based electronic composer and synth master aus is known for tender, melody-driven soundscapes. From the two artists comes a dialogue suspended between land and sea, bridging the generation gap and the physical distance between them. What began as a series of sketches -- impressions of water, islands, and shifting light -- gradually evolved into an exchange without explanation, a correspondence of sound that dissolved boundaries. In that anonymity, both artists discovered an uncommon freedom: a place where each could move lightly and intuitively, without expectation. The music drifts with a gentle, intuitive grace: lingering piano, soft cinematic synths, and field recordings that unfold like whispered recollections, while flute and saxophone lines pass through like occasional breezes -- a human presence felt as warmth more than form. Interwoven is music for those who cherish stillness and the delicate beauty of the everyday. It's music for admirers of Satoshi Ashikawa, Midori Takada, Satsuki Shibano, Hiroshi Yoshimura, Takashi Kokubo, Brian Eno, and all who seek a quiet refuge in sound.

WRWTFWW Records presents Hot-N-Ready Remixes Delivered by Pizza Hotline (In 20 Minutes or Less), the brand-new remix album from Pizza Hotline, landing hot and fast on a limited-edition neon arcade arctic pearl colored vinyl double LP, cut at 45rpm and housed in a heavyweight sleeve with artwork by Equip Studio. From the high-octane mind of Pizza Hotline -- the man behind cult classics that helped redefine liquid drum and bass through a Y2K, consoleera lens -- comes a full-throttle remix album that feels like a secret bonus disc unlocked after beating the game, a portal into a parallel universe of rave-powered nostalgia and pixel-perfect bliss. Warp-speed liquid DNB, atmospheric jungle, and dancefloor-crushing remixes of legendary tracks extracted from the greatest video games ever made collide in a sensory overload of pure arcade euphoria. Soaring pads, breakbeats that ricochet like laser fire, deep-space subs, and rhythms that feel like drifting through a cyber-city at 3AM with only a CRT glow to guide you. The album plays like a late-night arcade run fueled by muscle memory and emotion: PlayStation futurism meets WipeEout velocities, Donkey Kong adventure grit, GoldenEye stealth tension, and Sega Saturn dream-logic. It's fast, melodic, immersive, and deeply cinematic -- a love letter to video game soundtracks, club culture, and the spaces where the two collide. This release marks the fifth Pizza Hotline collaboration with WRWTFWW, following the ultra-classic Level Select, its brilliant follow-up Polygon Island, the collaborative smash Anti Gravity Tournament with Mitch Murder, and the Low Poly Breaks cassette series.

RELEASE DATE: 3/27/2026
Chris Liebing's first full solo techno LP, Evolver. The German techno don's LP features a host of collaborators across music, images, and artwork. Luke Slater, Charlotte De Witte, Speedy J, The Advent, Terence Fixmer, Pascal Gabriel, and Daniel Miller contribute to the music, while long-time collaborators Studio Bergfors deliver design, and legendary photographer Anton Corbijn shot Liebing for the project. The Evolver LP is the sum total of Chris Liebing's three decades at the beating heart of techno. It's the record only someone whose first break as a techno DJ was playing five hours at Sven Väth's infamous Omen in Frankfurt -- and who has ridden out every twist and turn of life and subcultures since, while remaining rooted in the true school, dark, sweaty techno sweat pits of the world - could have made. It's the result of deep introspection, but it's about utter immediacy. It's the sound of someone previously driven along by compulsion and happenstance at last finding the confidence to be utterly intentional about their practice, allowing them to take the most classic, familiar, proven elements from the past and render them completely new. Evolver is also Liebing's first completely solo album. There are collaborations, yes: with old friends from the OG techno generation, Luke Slater, Speedy J, and The Advent, all on uncompromising form, and with new generation figurehead Charlotte De Witte, who provides a thrilling narration of total surrender to the moment on acid clarion call "Symphonie des Seins." But unlike all Liebing's albums to date, there's no co-pilot. Every structure, every mixdown, every choice serves his singular vision of how his untold immersion in the surging currents of the world's greatest clubs should sound. The elements are all those forged in the white heat of Omen and Tresor in the mid-'90s -- brutal repetition, titanium kick drums, industrial atmospherics, but also dark rave euphoria, ever present surging acid lines just on the cusp of trance, and just enough human voices to remind you of bodies on the dance floor -- but rendered with all the extraordinary accumulated skill and technological developments since then.

Hidden Spheres is a Rhythm Section mainstay for a reason: having released three EPs on the label, he has developed his sound and fully emerged into a flow state. Delivering five tracks that master dancefloor tension, it's difficult to pick a stand out. "Come On, Yeh" harks back to the New Jersey House sound with dubby organ chord stabs and punchy 909 drums and a sublime bongo loop. "Don't You Wanna" welcomes the house dancers, with a low-slung, heavily swung groove, resampled pads, and a deep spoken refrain that gives the track its title. "Get Down" hits the subs, with unmistakably phat bass, moody strings and broad use of the iconic M1 organ bass patch "Organ2". Followed by "I Feel Good" brings police sirens, 808s and swirling pads. The final track "You Don't Know", takes things down a notch, but maintaining the sublime tension with classic house piano chords.

WRWTFWW Records presents the release of Renga, the new collaborative album from Gak Sato and Tadahiko Yokogawa -- available on limited edition LP (300 copies worldwide) housed in a heavyweight sleeve with inside out print of a beautiful artwork by Aoi Huber Kono. Renga is a genre of Japanese collaborative poetry in which alternating stanzas, or ku, of 5-7-5 and 7-7 morae (sound units or syllables per line) are linked in succession by multiple poets. Inspired by the traditional Japanese poetic form of linked verses, Renga unfolds as a fluid ten-track journey spanning ambient, jazz, breakbeats, electronica, environmental music, techno, cinematic, library music, and musique concrète. Much like its literary namesake, the album is built on intuition and shared momentum, each piece emerging from what came before while opening new paths forward. Beats appear, disappear, then reassemble, while textures shift between organic warmth and electronic abstraction. The result is music that resists fixed categorization, existing somewhere between known subgenres and free-form exploration. The album's visual counterpart, created by Aoi Huber Kono, mirrors the sensibility of the music. It's elegant, modern, and quietly expressive, extending the idea of linked forms from sound into image.

RELEASE DATE: 3/27/2026
With Le Tact, Joseph Schiano di Lombo delivers a work of rare finesse, conceived as a posthumous conversation with photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson. Through seven meditative pieces -- whose evocative titles echo the photographer's words when describing the art of creating an image -- this album explores the instinctive and delicate relationship that connects music and photography to everyday lives. Presented for the first time on stage during the 20th anniversary of the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation, Le Tact draws its inspiration from the photographer's art: a sensitive and respectful approach, capturing the essence of things without altering them. This spirit of discretion and precision is distilled by Joseph into his music, blending composition and improvisation with intuitive elegance. While Joseph composed and performed the piano, organ, synthesizer, clarinet, and guitar himself, he opened his arrangements for the first time to other musicians. Agnes Wasniewska (oboe), Barbara Misiewicz (cello), and Tomasz Baye Zietek (trumpet) bring their sonic textures, enriching this work, which is both intimate and collaborative. The album was recorded between Paris and Sopot (Poland) during a residency organized by the CNM. The album's title perfectly encapsulates its essence: Le Tact. This simple word, evoking both the sense of touch and artistic intuition, reflects the way Joseph composes -- with respect, humility, and attention to detail. Each note seems to float lightly, as if to preserve the serenity of the moment. Le Tact transcends genre boundaries. Between ambient music and contemporary art, this album invites listeners to slow down and truly listen. It is a tribute to the beauty of the world, captured with the subtlety of a photographer and the sensitivity of a musician.

LP version. "The compositions of Colleen, aka multi-instrumentalist Cécile Schott, are as richly varied as they are precise. Each of Colleen's albums are shaped by her predetermined distinct instrumentation and parameters, including works composed entirely of music boxes, pocket synthesizers, and antiquated stringed instruments. The connective essence of Schott's music is in her ability to create pieces within this transcendent specificity that are both expansive and imbued with profound emotions. Libres antes del final is an album that reaches for the hope and desire to be truly freed from unnecessary suffering and harmful thoughts before reaching the end of one's life cycle. Schott composed and performed Libres on the Moog Matriarch, centering the record on a pulse-driven, bubbling energy with constant momentum. She then reamped the music in one of her favorite spaces in Barcelona, Casa Montjuic, accentuating the album's sense of movement. The reamping process adds a literal physicality to the album, as carefully chosen and placed microphones (including the famous Neumann KU100 binaural head) capture both the venue's PA sound itself and the venue's acoustics. Colleen's music translates snapshots of Schott's life into singular pieces, often instrumentally transmuting a dense web of sensations into wondrous sonic terrain. Schott's deft manipulation of the Moog Matriarch makes each subtle adjustment feel monumental. The tender 'Mis armas se habían caído al suelo' skitters sonar-like echoes across a warm pool of organ chords before giving in to a gentle wash of oceanic feedback. The bounce of 'Puertas de mi cuerpo' is transformed by every textural shift where the steady arpeggio of 'Antídoto' is broken apart by dizzying shifts in pulse. 'Aguas abiertas' (or, 'Open Waters') stands as the cinematic centerpiece to the album as each movement dives deeper beneath the surface and reflects the magic of discovering microcosms on every level one plunges further down. Title track 'Libres antes del final' harnesses the album's sense of urgency as the intensity swells and undulates into a climactic conclusion unlike any piece Schott has made before."

Black Editions presents the first ever vinyl and digital editions of Rotting Tapes II by Rotting Telepathies, the free-punk trip of spectral poet Michio Kadotani and High Rise founder Nanjo Asahito. Recorded live in 1982, and originally issued as a limited cassette edition by the notorious label of the Tokyo underground, La Musica Records. Kadotani's music has previously only been documented on a 1991 CD on P.S.F. (entitled Rotting Telepathies), and the recently rediscovered '87 KAD 3:4:5:6 set, which makes this disinterring of a highly limited 1990s La Musica cassette edition particularly significant. The unrelenting dunt of the rhythm section here, locked-in and revolving around Nanjo's bowel-rumbling bass, is the perfect foil for Kadotani's guitar -- sometimes cutting, sometimes spindly -- and the stream of babble that was his vocal style. It's frazzled but underpinned by viciously sharp logic. A beautiful representation of Kadotani, the man Nanjo once called "the only real punk in Japan." Available for the first time on LP or any physical form aside from a small run of hand assembled cassettes on the Japanese La Musica label in mid '90s (LA-107). Housed in a custom die-cut, "Uni-Pak" style gatefold with metallic ink, spot finishes and matching La Musica inner sleeve. La Musica Records was a label founded by Asahito Nanjo in Tokyo during the 1990s. It released nearly 200 cassettes and CD-r's, all handmade in micro-editions sold at shows. The catalog featured artists and recordings largely of obscure, often completely unknown origin, sanctioned and "grey-area" documentation of the Tokyo psychedelic underground.

Solo Suono is the first collaboration between saxophonist Filippo Ansaldi and electronic musician Simone Sims Longo, both based in Cuneo, Italy. Solo Suono is an album between acoustic gesture and electronic treatment, beyond the classical while starting from the classical. Breath, amplified mechanics, residual sounds, expressive freedom, and different forms that integrate electroacoustic composition. Passing through looped gestures, electronic processes, and concrete sound explorations, it investigates textures that blur the line between organic and synthetic, emphasizing subtle timbral shifts, evolving patterns, and the interaction between chance and structure. Fragile, immersive, and at times meditative, the music opens a space where the listener can inhabit both the immediacy of performance and the expanded sound world of electronic manipulation. Solo Suono is a phrase open to multiple interpretations, a naïve description of music.

Yuvi Havkin aka Rejoicer returns with an exceptional collaborative album, California Space Craft. On this aptly titled record, he joins forces with seasoned LA bass polymath Sam Wilkes -- known for his inspired studio work with Sam Gendel and his dynamic live performances alongside Louis Cole and KNOWER -- and drummer Tamir Barzilay, completing the LA-connected trifecta alongside a select handful of key featured guests. The idea for California Space Craft was born out of a series of inspired live sessions in Los Angeles between 2019 and 2022, notably at Listen to Music Outside in the Daylight Under a Tree, where the trio's natural chemistry first began to bloom. The resulting recordings encompass a wide variety of inspired sound stylings, as one would expect from any of these accomplished artists on their own; however, the sum is truly greater than the parts here, with the fluidity of their freeform improvisations over a dedicated three-day recording session feeling remarkably focused as a cohesive whole. Opening track "Traveling Light" sets the LP's tone with equal parts Sly & Robbie-style, space echo -- drenched rhythms and the cozy kosmische, guitar-led feel of early-2000s genre-fluid explorers like Tortoise. The soaring trumpet of Avishai Cohen adorns the Afrobeat-indebted "Lion Water," with Barzilay laying down a proper Allen-esque groove, while "Further (with you)," featuring Nitai Hershkovits on keys, offers a defining look at the titular concept of the album -- with pure Cali feels coalescing effortlessly into sci fi narrative modes and a proper dose of Rejoicer futurism. California Space Craft embodies the power of open, collective intention and musical kinship, offering memorable, uplifting moments and an aural glimpse of hope, warmth, and loving melodious calm in an otherwise quite chaotic time for humanity.

WRWTFWW Records presents the first-ever vinyl release of Art Form 2, the seminal 1998 compilation from Tokyo's cult label FORM@ RECORDS, now available as a limited edition double LP housed in a heavyweight sleeve, as part of the ongoing collaborative series between the Swiss and Japanese labels. Initially available only in CD form, Art Form 2 emerges as a quiet artifact from an exploratory phase in FORM@ RECORDS' late-1990s trajectory. The compilation drifts through the deeper layers of Tokyo's electronic underground, where IDM, techno, ambient, and downtempo dissolve into one another within an atmosphere of deliberate experimentation. Both intimate and forward-looking, it preserves a moment in which a local scene, largely unseen, was patiently reshaping the future beyond the reach of prevailing global narratives. Flowing with carefully sculpted rhythms, immersive sound design, and a subtle sense of machine soul, Art Form 2 reflects the maturity of the FORM@ aesthetic in 1998. The compilation resonates with the spirit of Warp's Artificial Intelligence era, Carl Craig's melodic futurism, Ken Ishii's cerebral techno, B12's deep electronics, and Ian O'Brien's emotive touch, while remaining unmistakably rooted in its own local context. Timeless and singular, it stands as a beautifully preserved time capsule of underground electronic music. Featuring Circle Limit, Led-M, Missing Project, Tensor, Tek Of 606, Misty Fuzz, Fossil, Modern Living, and Toh Chisei.

The latest in Field Records' run of essential vinyl pressings revisits Stephen Hitchell's 2009 masterpiece under his Variant alias, The Setting Sun. As part of Echospace and also celebrated for his productions as Intrusion and Soultek, Hitchell is considered a leading light in dub techno, with the versatility in his sound to range from rhythmic, physical pulses to purely tonal, abyssal drone. His work as Variant, which debuted with The Setting Sun, capitalizes on this scope to deliver a compelling ambient-with-teeth set richly deserving of a proper vinyl pressing. The Setting Sun first emerged on Echospace as a download-only release. Hitchell was at pains to map out the tools that went into the sound on the album -- field recordings of storms in Berlin, Germany and train rides in Narita, Japan, outboard synths and samplers. Crucially, he declared no computers were used, and it shows. When The Setting Sun was recorded, in-the-box production was largely dominating electronic music and the technology had yet to replicate the warmth and character of analogue equipment. Hitchell's looming chords come baked with harmonic overtones, surface noise becomes another essential layer and fragments of distortion add to the narrative of these glacial, monumental pieces. The presence of piano keys feels stark in the Variant sound world, but Hitchell ably folds these coded elements into his process bathed in the same curious luminosity that lingers around all his work. Evolving at a painstaking pace, the plaintive humanity in the cascading keys and plucked guitar strings renders one of the most personal expressions in Hitchell's considerable canon -- a unique release that holds its own space comfortably, The Setting Sun is a profound benchmark in a stellar discography.

A decade after his acclaimed self-titled debut as Le Carousel, Belfast producer Phil Kieran returns with a stunning follow-up: The Humans Will Destroy Us. Carrying forward the underground cult status of the 2013 album, with huge support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall among many others, this new body of work expands the Le Carousel universe into richer, more cinematic territory. Dreamy synth lines, shoegaze-infused electronics, and lush analogue textures weave together to create an album that feels at once intimate and expansive, nostalgic yet futuristic. Kieran describes it as a natural continuation of the Le Carousel story: music built on warmth, color, and emotion, but with sharper edges that reflect the urgency of the times. It's both a soundtrack for inner reflection and the unknown. The Humans Will Destroy Us is an album that rewards both deep listening and repeated returns.
